  1. Lovely 🙂 And of course the Scots are more in tune with French food as my very Scottish auntie insisted that French cuisine, through Mary Queen of Scots, had had a huge influence on Scots cooking.

    We were invited by English, just before Christmas, and I went into a slight state of shock to be offered pudding before the cheese (cheese comes before sweet in Italy too) and it’s a completely vile arrangement. Of course this comes from Victorian times, when the ladies would withdraw and the men would stay in the dining room with a good Stilton, a bottle of Port and cigars.
